Voodoo #3- Easily one of my favorites from the new 52. This issue was excellent. Guess starred Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, my favorite Green Lantern. The art is top-notch, and the writing is superb. Sadly, this series isn’t going to do well. Which means it’s very likely to get canceled. 

UNFFFF I NEEDED THIS ON MY DASH. I’m not even a tentacles!kinda fan, but I’m starting to believe Kyle Rayner is, given how much he is canonically assaulted by tentacles.

But. Whatever. VOODOO. GODDAMMIT YOU ARE HOT. GIT ‘IM, GIRL.

(also, doesn’t the pose remind you of a classical Greek statue? I don’t think it’s Apollo and Daphne, but maybe reminiscent? Maybe? Thoughts?)

OMG, it IS a reversal! What’s weird is that after I was kinda like “ehhh I’m sick of HP”, one of the first DC trades I bought was Bruce Wayne: Murderer (and then the BW: Fugitive ones). I can see why that event would be frustrating when buying it monthly, but reading it in trades I enjoyed it overall, despite it’s problems. (But then I think I’m more interested in his supporting cast, so that arc was kinda like “Batman’s Family And Sidekicks Are Amazing, Bruce Learns To Be Nicer And Grateful But Will Probably Forget That Lesson In Two Months”.)

But yeah, basically the majority of what I liked had been disappearing from the DCU (Oracle, Cass Cain, Roy and Lian Harper, Jaime Reyes, Booster Gold and his undying love for dead Ted Kord, etc) and the new 52 was just like, “yeah, it’s ALL gone now”. Grrrr.

Now I am suddenly interested in Post-Hogwarts and the Trio and Weasleys being old farts with kids everywhere! (Speaking of which I *LOVE* the Fred/Angelina +kids art you did.)

That’s the thing! I was REALLY looking forward to reading the BW: Murderer Fugitive etc crossovers because it was all about the familehhhh and Bat-fam is really the only reason I loved the Batman books, ahaha.  But…jeez, now I’m racking my brains trying to figure out why I stopped reading DCU.  I think it was just the Gryffindor quidditch team seducing me with their fighting and cavorting and being hot in general, ahahahah.  

Hilariously, I have all the Bruce Wayne: Whatever trade paperbacks, but never actually read them. Maybe now is a good time to revisit.  

(and then maybe one year I’ll actually finally properly read Harry Potter: book 7 which I only skimmed through and then kinda found out the ending via fandom, LOL WHOOPS)

AHAHA post-Hogwarts is pretty neat, innit? I have to say, I’m developing a fondness for exploring that as well. Seems rife with possibilities.
